How we deliver

For Lagos orders we book delivery primarily through Uber Delivery and Bolt Delivery at the time of dispatch — they're the fastest and most reliable for our city. For everywhere else in Nigeria we use a small panel of trusted couriers (GIG Logistics, Red Star, DHL) chosen per shipment based on speed and the value of the piece.

Every order is hand-checked and packed in our Lekki atelier the same working day if it's placed before 1pm WAT. Ready-to-wear ships immediately after packing; bespoke pieces ship the moment production is complete.

What it costs

Delivery fees are not fixed. Uber and Bolt price each trip based on distance, time of day, traffic, and any active surge — typical Lagos deliveries land between ₦3,000 and ₦8,000, but exceptional cases (very long distances, peak surge, oversized parcels) can run higher.

To keep this honest, we calculate your delivery fee at checkout using current rates for your address. You see the exact figure before you pay — no surprises after the fact, and no padding on our side. For nationwide courier shipments the same applies: the live courier quote is shown at checkout.

"From" means typical baseline — exact fee depends on live distance, surge, and traffic at the time of dispatch.

Bespoke production timelines

Bespoke pieces are cut after we receive your deposit. Production time depends on the complexity of the piece — separate from delivery time:

• Simple dresses, tops, shorts: 5–7 working days
• Multi-piece sets (Iro & Buba, Senator): 8–10 working days
• Embellished gowns (lace, beading, ceremonial): 10–14 working days
• Agbada, Babban Riga, ball gowns: 12–18 working days
• Aso-Ebi group orders (5+ pieces): 14–21 working days

For ceremonial pieces, please order at least three weeks before the event date. We'll always tell you upfront if a timeline isn't realistic — and if you have a hard deadline, mention it in the bespoke notes and we'll prioritise.

Tracking your order

You'll receive an email and SMS the moment your piece is dispatched. For Uber/Bolt deliveries, we share the rider's live tracking link directly with you — same view the recipient sees in the app, no extra account needed. For courier shipments you get the courier name + tracking number. You can also follow status live from your account dashboard: every order shows the current stage (placed → in production → packed → dispatched → delivered).

Payment

All orders are paid for before dispatch — by card via Paystack, bank transfer, or your Opulent Kiddies wallet. We don't offer pay-on-delivery. Bespoke pieces require a deposit to enter production, with the balance due before we ship.

Missed delivery

Uber/Bolt riders typically wait 3–5 minutes at the address. If you're not there to receive the parcel, the rider returns it to our atelier and we'll contact you to arrange a new delivery — the second trip is at our cost the first time, then re-quoted thereafter. For courier shipments, two failed attempts return the parcel to us and we re-dispatch on your confirmation.

To avoid this, please ensure someone over 16 is at the delivery address during business hours, or use our pickup option.

Damaged or wrong items

On the rare occasion something arrives damaged or isn't what you ordered, photograph the issue within 48 hours of delivery and email hello@opulentkiddies.com. We'll arrange a free pickup and a replacement or full refund, including the original delivery fee.
