How do I choose the right size?
Each ready-to-wear product page lists the exact body measurements (chest, waist, hip, height) per size. Measure your child in soft clothing and pick the size that matches — go one size up if they are between sizes or growing quickly. For bespoke pieces, we collect 26 body measurements during the design wizard so the piece is cut for your child specifically.
My child is between sizes — should I size up?
Yes. Our pieces are cut with generous hems so they can be let down as your child grows. Sizing up gives you 6–12 extra months of wear.
How does a bespoke (custom) order work?
Visit the Bespoke studio, pick a garment type, fabric and silhouette, and enter your child's measurements. We render the design in 3D so you can see it before you commit. Within 48 hours we send you a price quote — pay in full or in instalments via wallet, bank transfer, or card — and we begin cutting. Bespoke production usually takes 7–14 working days depending on complexity.
Can I bring my own Aso-Ebi or Ankara fabric?
Yes — this is one of our most popular services. Mention it in the bespoke wizard or contact us first. We'll confirm the yardage needed for the design you choose, you bring the fabric to our Lagos atelier (or send it to us), and we cut the piece. Tailoring-only pricing applies (no fabric cost).
Do you make school uniforms?
Yes. We do bespoke school uniforms — shirts, pinafores, blazers, trousers, skirts — built to your school's exact specification (colour, badge placement, hem length). Group orders for the same school get a discount. Contact us with your school's uniform guide.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept: card (Mastercard, Visa, Verve) via Paystack, bank transfer (Naira account, we confirm within 4 hours during business hours), and your Opulent Kiddies wallet (top up via card or transfer). All orders are paid for before dispatch — we don't offer pay-on-delivery.
Can I pay for a bespoke order in instalments?
Yes. For bespoke orders we accept a 50% deposit to begin work, with the balance due before delivery. Some pieces (especially Aso-Ebi sets for ceremonies) can be split further — discuss with us when we issue the quote.
How long does delivery take?
Ready-to-wear pieces ship same-day if you order before 1pm. Inside Lagos we deliver same-day via Uber or Bolt; everywhere else in Nigeria takes 2–5 working days via courier. Bespoke pieces depend on production time (7–14 working days) plus the shipping window from there. Delivery fees are calculated at checkout based on live rates — typically from ₦3,000 in Lagos. Can I return or exchange a piece?
Ready-to-wear pieces can be returned or exchanged within 7 days of delivery, as long as they're unworn, unwashed and have their tags. Bespoke pieces are made for one specific child so they're generally final-sale — but we'll always fix our own mistakes (wrong measurement, fabric defect) free of charge. How should I wash and care for Opulent Kiddies pieces?
Care labels are sewn into every piece. As a rule: cool wash (30°C) on a gentle cycle for cottons and Ankara, hand-wash for lace and Aso-Oke, no tumble-dry on embellished pieces, iron on the reverse side for printed Ankara to preserve the colours.
Do I need an account to order?
You need an account to checkout — it's how we keep your child's measurements, addresses, and order history. Signup takes 20 seconds and you can use Google or Facebook if you prefer. Your data is handled per our Privacy Policy and never shared with anyone outside of fulfilling your order.
Do you do wholesale or stockist enquiries?
Yes — we work with a small number of curated boutiques across Nigeria and West Africa. Email trade@opulentkiddies.com with your store name and city.
