Returns & Exchanges
A clear, fair policy. Ready-to-wear pieces can be returned within 7 days. Bespoke pieces are made for one child so they're final-sale — but we always own our own mistakes.
Ready-to-wear: 7-day return window
You can return or exchange any ready-to-wear piece within 7 days of delivery. The piece must be:
- Unworn (a quick try-on is fine, but no signs of use)
- Unwashed and unaltered
- With all original tags still attached
- In the original packaging where possible
How to start a return
Log into your account, find the order, click "Request return or exchange", and pick the items + reason. We'll send you a return code and the pickup address within one working day.
You can also email returns@opulentkiddies.com with your order number — we'll handle it the same way.
How long refunds take
- Wallet refund: instant — credited to your Opulent Kiddies wallet within 1 working day of us receiving the piece, ready to use on your next order.
- Bank transfer or card refund: 5–10 working days from when we receive and inspect the piece, depending on your bank.
Original delivery fees are non-refundable unless the return is because of a fault on our side (wrong item shipped, manufacturing defect).
Exchanges for size
If the only issue is size, we'll exchange for free — same piece, different size, no restocking fee. Just say so when you request the return. If the size you need is out of stock, we'll either refund or hold credit for an alternative.
Bespoke pieces
Bespoke pieces are cut to one specific child's measurements and design choices, which makes them generally non-returnable. That said, we stand behind every piece that leaves our atelier:
- Our mistake: If we cut to the wrong measurement, used the wrong fabric, or there's a manufacturing defect, we'll re-make the piece at our cost or issue a full refund — your choice.
- Sizing on growing children: If a child has grown significantly between measurement and delivery (more than 3 cm), we'll alter the piece at no charge if it can be let out.
- Change of mind: We can't accept returns for change of mind on bespoke pieces — they have no resale value.
- Cancelling a bespoke order before production starts: 100% refund. Once we begin cutting, the deposit is forfeit; if you cancel mid-production we'll refund any amount not yet spent on materials and labour.
What we can't accept back
- Pieces marked "final sale" at checkout
- Pieces personalised with embroidery, monogramming, or custom names
- Underwear, socks, or hair accessories (hygiene)
- Items returned more than 7 days after delivery
- Items returned in a worn, washed or damaged state
Damaged on arrival
If a piece arrives damaged, photograph it within 48 hours of delivery and email returns@opulentkiddies.com. We'll arrange free pickup and either replace the piece or refund in full — including the original delivery fee.
Pickup vs drop-off
We arrange a courier pickup from your address at no cost. If you'd rather drop off in person, our Lekki atelier accepts returns Monday–Friday, 10am–5pm by appointment.
